Blimey! The Coolest Travel Intern Position in Blighty

We are looking for a bright spark to get involved with our Marketing team at The Summit (our London offices).

You will do all kinds of fun things including some copy writing, social media, some event planning, public relations, self-contained projects, possibly a bit of designing depending on your skillset and much, much more. We're quite capable of making the coffee all by ourselves but as part of a small office you will be expected to be in the thick of it, to share tasks and to help out where required (which will involve the coffee from time to time - we'll break that to you now!).

You can probably tell that we aren't your average office and we aren't your average travel company. We're a collection of travellers driven by service, our culture and fearless innovation. We will expect you to be the same.

The only prerequisites are that you are enthusiastic, a hardworking multitasker with attention to detail, a can-do mentality, the desire to go further, have a passion for travel, recognise a good opportunity when you see one and know how to string words together.

In return we're initially offering the coolest travel internship for six months at our central London office.

You don't need any travel or marketing experience although brownie points will be awarded for both.  It would also be great if you had an understanding of another European language - z.B. es wäre super nützlich wenn Du auch Deutsch könntest (but it isn't essential).

As mentioned it is important that you have a high command of the English language - not necessarily a native speaker - but you need to be a cool copy crafter. We're not expecting Pulitzer Awards (at least not in your first week) but it is important that you share our love for changing lives through travel and are therefore able to spread the word.

If you need a job description then this is probably not the opportunity for you. However if you've been looking for a way into travel, an exciting, innovative company and a position that you can help shape then please get in touch.

As you can see from the above at The Great Adventure People we believe in 'Embracing the Bizarre'. We wouldn't want it any other way with our recruitment. Don't get us wrong - we're not looking for drama queens or freaks - but don't feel you have to send us your CV on two crisp, white A4 sides. We'll accept applications in any form but it would be great if you could upload a short video application via youtube telling us why this is right for you (point at: http://www.youtube.com/theadventurepeople) and to tweet (@adventurepeople) in response to the following question:

"We should employ you because.."

For all applications by email and for any questions just get in touch:  idontwanttoworkinfinance@gap.ca
